The brief was to modernise the space and create a destination for the tenants of the building, as it was lacking in character and was being used purely as a thoroughfare. This project followed on from refurbishing the ground and lower level of the adjacent building for the same client. As we were keeping big elements such as the concrete flooring, we thought bringing in a neutral and architecturally interesting tile would modernise the space, pairing it with a blue feature staircase, oak veneer and tan leather to bring some warmth.
